im having a problem with te non sync imput from a cp650, a few days ago somebody plug an RCA wire from a computer to the non sync 1 imput and the projectionist said that they couldt hear anything from the lap top, and after that when they re conect the normal non sync audio for all the auditoriums they found that the channel was dead. wath i did is to change the non sync imput to the non sync imput2 and change it on the dysplay.

do you think is a broken board?

Marin is normal when plugging in a laptop a stereo mini jack to rca to mute the sound from the computer but the sound should had been passing via the rca to the Dolby unit. is the gain levels configured correctly in the Dolby or perhaps they were omissed. Did you try plugging a cd player directly on Non-Sync 1 to see if you have sound? Some basic tests.

Well....if you did check all, like connecting CD or so and you're 100% sure that nobody didn't move non sync 1 level in setup and so, than maybe problem can be in dead input, one reason could be a laptop connected to other outlet and difference between grounds so some parasit voltage could kill CP650 input.....but doubt is that?

Make double check of connection, and input levels for NS 1.
