Emulsion side (agfa print) -- looks exactly as if one blew up a variable density track and scratched it in over the width of the print. Horizontal lines from edge to edge the entire print and with erratic nature again of a variable density track. While the pattern is viewable on the emulsion side - the scratches don't appear as green but rather clear and black on light and dark areas - more prominent as dark colored on light backgrounds.

I have never seen anything like this.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Can you scan a few frames and post? Are they actual scratches with depth or latent images?

Ive seen something similar that I feel has something to do with latent exposure to an A.C light source- sort of a "flourescent light fogging".

Cheers
Ian

Possibly the lower loop being too big on a Simplex/Century/Christie-type projector and slapping against the machine.
