We had a issue at our cinema the other day. All the channels were not working apart from the centre. All the connections were checked to amps and optical reader but everything was fine.

Had to reboot the processor twice to restore the sound back to normal. Do you think it was a software glitch within the processor?

Did bypass button did lit? Maybe was something wrong and processor switched to bypass, also it would be good to check log file.

yeah the bypass is working, i can't remember which firmware. i will find out today. We have been having other problems with this Processor. Audio is keeps going up and down, dialogue sounds muffled one customer commented and said it sound like someone talking through a radio. I did pink noise check, all channels are fine. The PSU is a new modified one and the current seems strong so we have no issues of reverting..Any ideas fellas?

Can't say we've had any of these issues with our 650's. Muffled dialogue means blown HF for us but that's obviously not the case here.
I'd call your engineer in or mention it to them at least, hopefully they can work some magic.

i was playing back a CD on non-sync yesterday morning while changing the trailers and the volume kept going up and down. tried listening to the audio through the deaf loop on the bts monitor and it still continued to change volume. This is what the customers have been complaining about during 35mm performances.
