Jack Theakston Master Film Handler Posts: 411 From: New York, USA Registered: Sep 2007 posted 08-31-2009 08:27 PM                     I've got a pair of Altec studio monitors, and the cones in one of them is blown. Anyone know of a reliable place in NYC that does reconing, particularly for high-end speakers? Dennis Lindsay 205-945-3006 Dixie Speaker Repair Company 705 Oak Grove Road Homewood, AL 35209 Dennis reconed a 15" RCA speaker for me, and did a fine job. If you can't find anyone closer to you in NY, you might give him a call. I was very pleased with the job he did for me. If you need someone in NYC, you might try calling Cinema Technology Services. Weight is sort of an issue, but Maryland isn't that far a drive.
