On our print of Button, half way thru the first reel, the DTS will drop out and for some reason our sound system will not automatically switch back to DTS. we have to re-boot the system (DTS 6D)to get it to work again. Not sure if this is a defect in the film or one of the studio's feeble attempt to prevent piracy. Does anyone else have this problem?

thanks,

Louis

I have never noticed the dip between Digital and Analog nor does our system need to be reset. ( possibly due to it being a different processor ). I would look at the section of offending film and see if it looks like the sound was intentionally clipped or if it looks like a bad print. I am leaning towards a bad print myself.

After experiencing the same thing with our DTS in Benjamin Bottom, I simply took the discs out and started running it optical stereo. I had assumed the discs were defective due to their busted shipping containers. One of our 2 discs on Bedtime Stories isn't being read in DTS in one house (but both are in the other house.)
