I think you're right Gordon. This one actually did look like a 135.

Bump.

For those who have to deal with these things, did you remove resistors R31 and R32 when installing LED readers? Am I correct in my understanding that these are no longer necessary and that removing them will increase the preamp output? Everything works as-is, but output is reduced from what I was getting with the old exciter/solar cell.

Only stereo processor in the world worth less than the LED reader! Louis

Gordon? Sam? Oscar? Anyone?

This is not my favorite product, but it predates me and is not going anywhere anytime soon. The venue is pretty marginal and only shows a few films per year. It was like pulling teeth to get them to do the LED upgrade, even though I donated a good chunk of the cost and free labor, and the people there had heard how horrid a cyan track sounds with a white-light exciter. Despite that, the manager there is also very good to work with, and I try to help them out as time permits.

That said, if anyone wants to donate a CP650 (or even a -55 or -65) for a tax deduction, let me know, and I will put you in touch with them.

I don't have a schematic anymore for that
The led unit should give you almost the same level as a cell that is what it was designed to do
