The Tower Drive-In, in Rule, TX, recently changed hands. It's got Century projector/sound head, Strong Super 80, Strong platter and a mix of Dolby, Smart and Ramsey sound gear. It needs a serious go-through from someone who can do some thorough diagnostics, clean, lube, time & align. The owner is new and learning, but needs a working booth to operate, and someone willing to let her look over his shoulder for a day. Right now, lack of qualified care is causing near-daily problems.

Anyone here close enough to consider this, or is there a tech company anywhere near the Abilene area that I could help get the owner in contact with?

Thanks.

Tell her to contact the Town and Country Drive-in in Abilene, TX and ask for Ray. He is an ex-UA technician who runs that theater and is a very good tech.

Jack, what happened to the guy who was supposed to drop by from another theatre several weeks ago and do a PM?

She's had someone there, from "another theatre", but it sounds like he's only skimming the top off of the worst problems. It never really gets fixed & tuned up.
