Hi:

I've been reading topics that mention a dreaded accordion splice, but I don't know what it is. Can someone describe it and maybe also show a picture. I did do a search on the term accordion/accordian and I found posts but no definition.

Most of the time it's too many single frame splices at the head or tail of a reel in a row. The operators in the booth keep cutting a frame instead of peeling the tape from the last splice on the build-up.
