I am starting a new job using 3 35/70 Rank RK-60's. Does anyone have any manuals or information about these.

I heard that they were rebranded Vic 8's and since they look quite similar, is it probable the literature would be interchangable?

The RK60 was sold by Rank Precision Industries under Licence from Cinemaccancia.

At the time Rank had owned Kalee in Leeds and this projector would had been badge as a Kalee RK60, but was made by Cinemaccancia and for Import quoters at the time a non-standard 35mm projector was cheaper to import 35/70mm into the UK.

The RK60 is really a 35mm only projector as the Intermittant was not as robust as a true Victoria 8 35/70 and the RK60 was a split head with the soundhead being separate, I have not heard or seen a RK60 mounted on any other types of soundheads.

Some parts are inter changeble with the V8, but many are not as I belive.

The Rank RK60 shipped across the pond all were older style vic 8s and many were upgraded in the early 80's to dual 35/70mm machines
