How many people here have seen that new advert for Vodafone Mobile Broadband that's currently playing in UK cinemas? It involves a man leaving work for a break, but just as he gets into the cafe to see a girl, there's a film splice/framing error and he's back in his office.

The reason I'm posting this here is because of the Grindhouse-style edits and description frames - how authentic are they to someone who's an experienced projectionist?
I originally thought something had gone wrong with the film when I first saw the advert!

Also, anyone who's running the advert - does the film have any edge marks on it to ensure you don't splice the film before it 'really' ends? [Big Grin]

The ad's on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ieMbxPmKYOE

The edits immediately appear bogus because then audio click is syncronised to the visual edit, when in real life the click would occur at a different time; for optical the sound head is 20 frames after the picture...
