Would it be possible to replace the Cat222 SR/A card in a CP45 with a Cat222 A-type only card? I would like to swap these out for use in another processor but would still like the CP45 to function properly.

I think so. They certainly swap in a modified CP-55. Louis

If Dolby designed the CP45 right...it should swap out and "know" it is just a Cat 222A...as such it should refuse to go into format 05 with the Cat 222A in there.
