Note this from Buena Vista International:

quote:
We have now confirmed an issue with the Doremi servers that are running older firmware versions and trying to play Meet the Robinsons. The issue presents its self in two ways one is 25 minutes before the end the boy walks into the garage and the image goes black and then the frames repeat themselves several times. The second is 7 minutes before the end when the boy goes into the meet mom and is just about to tap her on the shoulder it breaks up along with a loud screech in the audio.

We have found that firmware versions lower than 2.84 cause this issue. All Doremi servers that will play Meet the Robinsons in 2D or 3D should be upgraded immediately to Firmware 2.84 and Software .05.1.19 or higher. WARNING… The projectors will need to have had the upgrade to version 10 to support CineLink II. If they have not been the server will have CineLink II encryption and the Projector will not be able to decode this and put anything on the screen.

This part about the projector having to be version 10 - I wonder if they're referring specifically to the Christie CP2000 projector?

Nope...believe it or not...that is the TI firmware number and it applies to all TI boards...even the 1.3K ones!!! I believe the current version is 10.1. 10.0 was known to be buggy.

TI has a better record of supporting the older projectors than the cinema industry seems to (that is the 1.3K machines are still supported by firmware updates).

Thanks for the tip Steve. The firmware was successfully upgraded, and the film released on 2007-04-13. No complaints thus far.
