Does any one else have problems with their CP500's frezing for no apparent reason?
The problem seems to be random and can occur on any of our 12 processors. We have replaced numourous Eproms and Cards including all Cat681's
The front panel will freeze and the sound will only come from certain random Channels. We also get quite a lot of Static problems with the surround speakers ticking any ideas?

Most of the cp500 issues were on older units with the molex connectors on the powersupply causing glitchs
as well as random power line noise
I put a UPS on all processors and almost all the problems have gone away

I'll tell you what...I have a complex that put 12 CP500s in at once and they are starting to have power supply issues (3 of the original 12 now). One of the supplies took out the Dolby Digital CCD reader on its way down (and three other cards).
