Last week we got Last Kiss (Deluxe Films). The projectionist that was building it asked me to come upstairs because the print look "unusual". When I went upstairs and inspected R1 I realized that the last part of the reel had blank frames on it!( no tail etc). To be safe we ran just reel one and two and sure enough a dialogue scene was cut in half. We did get a new reel Saturday morning, but that sure didn't help us on Friday. We didn't have ny issues because we explained to customers that there was a couple seconds off the film.Has anyone ever had this happen before?

Sound to me like the printer lamp died during printing that reel. No light through the neg = clear frames.
