I currently have two Auditoriums that are equipped with a Cp-65, and a Dts-6 unit (with BGW amps and a THX1138 crossover/monitor). Currently in DTS everything sounds peachy. However when ran in Dolby SR the left and right stage channels appear to be backwards. I do not have an SR test loop, but in scenes with a car driving from screen left to right this audio is flipped. I can also tell with the Moo Can THX when Tex flies over to the X to get the cable the audio is all right channel. I've had some difficulty proving this to my tech as he wont even take a look at it. Any suggestions? Oh and is this an relatively easy fix?

Thanks.

It is most likely a solar cell flip between left and right since the DTS is correct and everything runs through the 65.

An easy test is to cover the soundtrack, outside channel first, with the film running in SR. Watch the signal presence indicator on the CP65 preamp, Cat. No. 240. Right channel should go out first and then left, as you slide the card in.

If the left goes out first, the cell is wired backward.
