Hello, I am a projectionist in Eindhoven Netherlands. Recently I bought 2 Norelco AAII's in Germany wich I want to use in my home-theatre. Included were two 'Mole Super Seventy' lamphouses, manufactured by Mole Richardson; once used with carbon arc lamp but later unfortunately replaced by a modern Kinoton Xenon-lamp.
The arc lamp has dissappeared.
I tried mailing Mole Richardson twice but I got no answer.
My question: Is there anyone out there that can provide me with information about these beautiful lamphouses; some photo's or maybe a copie of the original manual ?
Regards,
Ton Beetz

The Mole Richardson arclamps where manufactured & distributed by Gaumont - Kalee. Some locations switched to Ashcraft lamphouses of the the same output when that company went out fo business.

Ton, is it by any chance the lamphouse which can be seen on the Kalee Vistavision projector, in this picture from Hugh's web page ? I think this is a Mole lamp, but I don't know what model.

Mole Richardson were usually big b*ggers, self rotating water cooled carbon jaws on the only ones I've ever seen. Oddly enough they were behing DP70s too, and even more oddly, were later converted to Xenon byt fitting a Kinoton conversion unit.
