Has anyone any experience with QSC loudspeakers, for example
the THX certified speakers SC-423, SC-433 or SC-443? Or at least
listened to them at a theater? Are they any good, compared to
JBL or Electro Voice THX-speakers?

Any idea how many theaters in the US with QSC speakers?

We have used them in our recent projects. They are very nice, thought through with little details like an aiming gunsight, compact clean sound and good performance at higher levels. We now use complete QSC playback chains from the crossover to the amps and speakers.
If you want to know how many of them are already installed, contact Sam Hynds who also posts here sometimes.

QSC speakers have become my personal favorite. As Michael says, they are well thought out in their design and sound fantastic with little EQing. QSC is top notch company to work with as well. You won't be disappointed.

Thanks! I have no experience with QSC speakers, but my sound system
has 13 QSC MX 1500a amplifiers. They have been working every day
for over 8 years now, and there has been zero problems with any of
them so far.

I´m considering up-grading my sound system next year, and has
become very interested in the QSC speakers.

Yes, Brad mentioned one aspect I like but forgot to include, namely that they achieve a very good response without much fiddling and tweaking and EQing, and the response is fairly stable between speakers in similar rooms, so that speaks for the consistency of manufacturing quality. If you use them with the QSC DCM-1 digital crossover/monitor, you can do most of the fine tuning in the crossover, usually just a little time alignment and some other minor adjustments bring you very close to "the truth".
We haven't been able to blow one of the speakers out so far.

Last year, we set up a massive open air system at the County Fair at the Del Mar Racetracks which was sponsored and set up by QSC. We managed to inflict some very heavy damage with it, we killed a few horses in their stables. No, I was just kidding. No animals were harmed during the production. But we did manage to wake up a lot of people when we test ran it late at night...
Anyway, the speaker systems - which were adequately dimensioned, of course, survived even long-time high levels without any damage.
