We have been having a problem when we hit the start button on the automation within a few seconds the LED light shuts off. This only happens on the first show of the night, never the second or the third show. It has been happening about every 6 or 7 nights but the frequency has been increasing. Simplex Xl projector with a CFS automation. Just a new projectionist and any help would be appreciated.

I would say, at first, that you have your cord that runs the LED power supply plugged in the non-sync socket on the console when you hit the "RUN" button. But, only on the first show..?? Irratic automation?

Move your cord to another outlet that is hot all the time (not switched) and see if this cure this ailment.

Might also be a failing KElmar power supply if your scanner is a Kelmar. All of the older units are failing....they can become intermittent before they fail completely.
