Dolby had one recently, you could contact them about opportunities in Europe. The class was very good.

For theatres investing in Kodak Digital Cinema Systems (either for preshow or feature content), Kodak provides training:

Kodak Digital Cinema Network

quote:
Digital Cinema Checklist

As you invest in your digital future, make sure you’re receiving everything your digital cinema solution should include. As you evaluate potential partners and their systems, ask yourself:
Do they provide:

Full project management—site surveys, system configuration, installation, all training and followthrough?
A complete solution—hardware, software, and all service and support, including content and key management and distribution?
The ability to handle SD or HD pre-shows, alternative content, 2D, 3D, MPEG, JPEG, MXF-packaged feature presentations?
A secure networked system over which you can receive, store, stage, distribute, and play the complete entertainment package—pre-shows, alternative content and features with keys, automA choice of service plans—all with remote monitoring of your system—with human phone support, 24/7/365 to detect and diagnose problems and often repair them without theatre disruption?
Operating system software—with automatic updates— that connects to your ticketing system so pre-show content can be targeted and moved from screen-toscreen, easily, automatically, and without operator involvement?
The reports you need to better manage your business, including affidavits of content receipt and play, electronically provided, configured to meet your needs?
And full peace of mind—working with a partner who understands your challenges, shares your vision, has the experience to earn your confidence, and is committed to helping you grow your business?

And yes, the training includes a reminder to keep the port glass and optics clean. [Wink]

This thread reminds me of the Gary Larson cartoon 'Night school for electric chair operators'. It shows a class of students attentively looking at a picture of a switch drawn on the blackboard, with the instructor pointing out its two positions: 'on' and 'off'... [evil]
