Found this on a UK Forum.

There is an excellent trailer for a new Kirk Douglas (yes Kirk) film called “Illusion”. The trailer opens with a cinema projection box and film vault. The story looks good too.........

You will need Quicktime to view.

Trailer.

That looks awesome. I wonder if it will be picked up for a large limited or wide-release distribution?

WOW! I guess this is going to have to replace CINEMA PARADISO as the projectionist's movie. Even after a stroke, Douglas is still totally riviting.

i saw that movie last week. it's garbage. kirk is definitely the best thing about it, but the material still makes him look pretty pathetic. shot on video, btw.

Shot on VIDEO? Screw them. So CINMEA PARADISO still reigns king as the projectionists' "mascot" film. I guess Kirk was happy to get any role they would give him.

I once heard Gregory Peck say, when an interviewer asked him why he took quite a few of those pretty shlocky roles throughout his career, "You all seem to forget that for an actor, acting is a job. There's no fund to pay out-of-work actors who are without jobs because they are sitting around waiting for a "perfect" role to come along." I thought that was pretty pragmatic. They are, after all, just guys trying to earn a living like the rest of us.
