What are the formulas for proper lens sizes on new installs? Does the height of the screen enter into the calculation or does the calculation determine the height of the screen?

Hi Don:

There are a couple of formulas out there. I am assuming you will use side masking with common picture height. To figure a good screen height, measure from the screen to the last row of seats and divide the figure by 5. This will give you a good average screen height.

I'm sure other members will chime in on the subject.

For the lens, meany people suggest the "Isco lens calculator" available on Isco Optics website.
