Has anyone tried the new NT films yet? Tone, Buzz, and Pink Noise? I have found the tone to be just slightly hotter than the last batch we got from Dolby but have not had time to compare the noise or Buzz yet.

Peter,

Many US dealers receoved free samples of the new films a couple of months back. If you contact them they might oblige you as well. They are also planning on a replacement for RP-40 in the next several months and on all the films you can purchase any amount of footage you need. I just need to be sure of their accuracy, its easy to compare a known good sample of tone and buzz or on an optical comparator but not so easy with P.N.!!

On RP-40 thread one new loop and one old loop in the projector at the same time. Any variation will show as non-convergent lines. If in doubt repeat after reversing the two loops. Louis
