I have been asked to restore an old Super Simplex and SH 1000 soundhead in a theater that has literally been abandoned for 20 years.

I desperately need an "Upper Feed Sprocket Gear" ASAP. This is not the sprocket itself, but rather the little flat gear roughly 1.5 inches in diameter that turns the upper feed sprocket from the back.

Is there a fast, reliable source for these anymore? Anyone got one to spare?

I've got the intermittent already going and aside from being quite dirty this is the only gear on the whole machine I have found that is bad. It appears to be a wooden gear and apparently made to strip in the event of a bad film jam.

thanks in advance,
Ed

We do Ed. It might be a used gear but it will be usable and in good shape. We would need to know if the old one is spiral bevel or straight bevel.... We still haave almost 2 dozen Supers running through out the Mountain States.

Ed...
I've got a couple of NOS sprockets for a Super...(I think).
Email me the part number of the projector feed sprockets and the soundhead sprockets and I'll check. You can have them for free if they will work.
