ive been in the game since 1996 in the states and only recently have i relocated to new zealand. since being here ive had to re-learn the lingo, as it seems its all different than im used to. examples:

>i call it the booth, they call it the bio-box or box
>house = cinema or theatre
>break = ending
>flat = widescreen
>scope = cinema scope
>brain = feeder unit
>not lingo, but ive always threaded soundtrack up on the platter, here its down.

i guess i thought what i learned was pretty standard anyware you go, but i see that its not. is it just me? is it the companies ive worked for? is it a hemisphere thing or is it a middle earth thing?

thats because you're south of the equator. Its the same reason your toilet water spins in the opposite (wrong) direction. [Smile]
