Cine China is promoting the Dong Feng series of consoles. The horizontal console has been shown at a trade show in the USA but the components where greatly upgraded to meet regulations by the importer. Dong Feng brand also does contract work for other manufacturers.

The console is painted a "Christie like" color. The basic light module has a dichoric glass reflector enclosed in a pressurized chamber like Christie / Strong / Cinemeccanica and other consoles. the blower is mounted to the rear of the console to cool the module. The ignitor location and design would not meet UL or CE standards for safety. The console is available with an auto change over / automation system based on PLC components. Magnetic type or switcher power supplies available for this unit. Cine China may be also selling another consoles from two other sources but this "Christie" type console is the Dong Feng unit.

The Dong Feng equipment is made in Tianjin which is near Bejing. Pearl River Company is toward the Hong Kong area. The major three projection manufacturers in China have been doing sub-contract work for years.
