I think the showman 2 is still being built in the USA and it can be set up for two machines but it is a peg board

Don, you've already seen the CA21 fully automated changeovers. [Wink]

You can also cross wire two generic automations together if needed. I know there are lots of people who have done it with TA10s. The CA21 is by far the more elegant solution, as you can adjust timing and such on it to fine tune it to the exact frame.

The problem with the TA10 is that when the second machine starts it will exicute the show start cue again

Richard & Brad, would I need two CA-21 or just one? This installation would be a platter system & a second projector to do reel to reel when needed, to be use either one machine or two, they are waiting for our quote, thanks guys...

Panalogic's CA-2000 also is in the 2-projector automation ring. All that is needed in addition to the basic automation is an AS-102 board to control the 2nd projector's functions.

The CA21 and Kinoton varients can be set up for 2-projector in a master/slave mode (single automation handles both machines) or you can have two automations and they are linked together. Kinoton only offers the master/slave thing.

Kelmar has an "integrator" that allows most of their automations (including those made under the Christie and Xetron badges) work together...you would need two identical automations and and the integrator for it to work.

Don, if you go CA21, it's easier to have 2 units, but you don't have to. Essentially every time the AUTO START button is selected (on it's own line of course) the CA21 knows to fire up the OTHER machine. Still if the job can afford it, having 2 is awful nice. I can give you a copy of my custom programming that has more bells and whistles in it than you could ever use. Just upload it via your laptop and you will be set. [thumbsup]
