I have a Kelmar Simplex Gate that I would like to change the bands in. I have it from a good authority that this job will require a world of patients and a good stiff drink (possibly multiple). I've never tried this procedure before and would appreciate some suggestions.

Thanks
Greg

If memory serves me they are the same as the regular Simplex bands. If it takes several stuff drinks for you to remove two small screws without loosing them and replace each band then you may want to consider working in another field...... perhaps bartending [beer] !
If in doubt then call Gord [thumbsup]

..true on that one. Did a 8 machine complete band changeout and lost screws about 5times-hunting for them on the floor, in which was a task to find. But got smart after the 5th time and placed the trap in a plastic container during teardown and rebuild to contain the screws.

A magnitized screwdriver works well for this task. [Wink]

The trap bands didn't seem like the tricky ones. It looked to me like the bands that wrap around the gate would be the tough ones. It looks like they fit rather tight. Is there any way to secure them while you put the second screw in?
