USA (1774.21 miles northeast of Dallas) Registered: Jun 99 posted 01-22-2005 07:38 AM                        Has anyone purchased Marble "Eagle" carbons recently. One theatre owner I know recently ordered carbons and was sent National brand instead of Marble. These National carbons are made in India by Schultz Carbon Electrodes and the quality is noticeably worse. They burn at a higher amperage to give the same light and they flicker noticeably, with changes in color temperature. The Marble carbons that they had been using were fine. Maybe not as good as National used to be, but the on-screen image was good.
