According to TV Guide, on Wednesday evening, November 24, the History channel is running a Modern Marvels program on the history and development of movie theaters and equipment. The Modern Marvels series is usually well done, so this might be an interesting one to catch.

Ah ha...perhaps this is where Marty Hart of www.widescreenmuseum.com fame (and frequent contributor to rec.arts.movies.tech newsgroup) finally makes his tv debut.

I agree that Modern Marvels is a great show and well done. This should be interesting, but 100 years of technology in 60 minutes probably means ground level (what the customer sees) will dominate most of the show. I will be disappointed if the booth only gets the last 15 minutes - and then just a discussion about how digital projection is "revolutionizing" the motion picture industry. I'd love to check it out, but I'm running the marvels on that night . . .
