Does anyone have the correct jumper combinations for the Toshiba drives on a DTS 6-D? I've tried the combination listed for the Teac drives with no success. [Confused]

Thanks....

Don

Off the top of my head...

ID1 ID2 ID3 PARITY (blank position -- B) PRV/ALW TEST(CD audio out only) TERM

So the following should work:

Drive A: 0 0 0 0 B 0 0 1
Drive B: 1 0 0 0 B 0 0 0
Drive C: 0 1 0 0 B 0 0 1

DTS may have set PRV/ALW (disable eject button) too... I seem to recall a third jumper, but you shouldn't need it.

Can anyone confirm that these are the correct jumper settings for the Toshiba drives? These didn't work for me. I can't seem to find anything about jumper combinations for Toshiba drives except that the last drive should be terminated.

Toshiba drives? Wow oldies but goodies.
I have a .pdf with the information you requested. I will have to send that separately but for now below is the information that may help you.
Also, not sure what you are doing but if your drives are not working correctly it may be something else than the jumper settings, you may need to make further tests to confirm if the drives are good or not.

Jumper settings for:

XD-5701B / 12x speed
Drive A ID 4
Drive B ID 1 ID4
Drive C ID 1 ID 2 Term on/off
* note for 2 drive unit place jumper over Term on/off on drive B
also jumper all drives on Power supply terminal.

XM-5401B / 4xspeed / caddyless
XM-3501B / 4x speed / caddy
XM-3401B / 2x speed / caddy
Drive A ID 4
Drive B ID 1 ID 4
Drive C ID 1 ID 2
* note for 2 drive units place jumper over Term on/off on drive B otherwise use drive C
