I ran into a small problem with an Simplex SH-1000 soundhead, the lock screw is broken in the lateral mounting stud for the pressure roller adjustment, question: looking at the part # in the SH-1000 manual the # is SN-348, in today's Strong 5-star soundhead the part # is P-2294...will this mounting stud work in the old SH-1000 soundhead if I order it...the lateral pressure roller assy looks exactly like the SH-1000...any ideas..thanks

Take a chance on it. Simplex books have been re-written a million times (so it seems) and the part numbers have been updated. I found that out when a shaft busted on the lower holdback sprocket pad roller assy last week.

Even when you find the correct serial number, chances are that Ballantyne send you the wrong part anyway.
