Is it me, or does this movie seem heavy on the highs and mids, with not enough lows? I find that I have to crank it up a little anyway, but everything seems bass-less. Even Shrek's voice sounds like it's lacking some bass.

[Confused]

Maybe it's me.

Half the movie sounded really great, half of it sounded very bad. That one song I mentioned in my review is ridiculous.

I remember making some comments during the screening that it seemed like there were 2 sound mixers that each did different scenes.

I've heard complaints from customers that the surrounds were very weak; very surprising in an auditorium where the surrounds tend to be a little much....

Maybe they figured that if the lighting & textures looked good enough, people would be more forgiving on other aspects of the film?
