The best thing to do with it is to take it to the rifle range and let it have it with a few rounds of 30-06 and then a few shotgun blasts! I actually did that to one once.... You WILL feel much better after it is completely dead. The slit-loss EQ didn't work since it was a treble filter rather than a proper sin (x)/x filter. There are treble and bass tone controls for the various channels that can be adjusted.
