Has anyone else had problems with these?

They were visible however I framed the film - it was just possible to frame so that they were visible at both the top and bottom of the picture at the same time. I don't think it was overcut plates, I didn't check them, but I haven't had problems running other 'scope prints at the same place, and it was worse in some parts of the film than in others. Happened on both projectors. I ended up dropping the top masking slightly, but could still see the flashes on the masking.

I also noticed this one day when I was on a service call.... Seems like they might have been related to the subtitles but I'm not 100% sure.....
