They were visible however I framed the film - it was just possible to frame so that they were visible at both the top and bottom of the picture at the same time. I don't think it was overcut plates, I didn't check them, but I haven't had problems running other 'scope prints at the same place, and it was worse in some parts of the film than in others. Happened on both projectors. Seems like they might have been related to the subtitles but I'm not 100% sure.....
