Hello all again after a long time.
It has come to my attention after visiting the Kelmar Site that there is actually a RED LED conversion for Victoria 4!!!! Is it true? Has anyone tried it? How effective is it?
Thank you in advance

Yes there is, works fine but is on the expensive side for a machine of this age that probably isn't in daily use. There may be an official one from Cinemmecannica available too.

I've fitted the Audio Cine Laser from Walter Voight in Switzerland with excellent results, and a similar device from Paulo Veronese in Italy, with good results but reliability has been a wee bit of an issue in my experience of them.

Don't even think about a Jaxlight!

So it does work. The reason why I am asking is because my country, Cyprus is FILLED with Victoria 4 projectors almost in every cinema. Does anyone now if a reverse scan Analog/Digital Basement reader is available for this projector and the following:
Cinemeccanica Victoria 5
Cinemeccanica Victoria 8
Cinemeccanica Victoria 9
Cinemeccanica Victoria 10
I know that cinemeccanica producers a reverse scan analog/digital basement reader for Victoria 5 and Victoria 8. Is there any other company that produces the readers requested above?

Thanks in advance

BACP ( Bay Area Cinema Products ) has a nice unit for Cinemeccanica which includes a spacer for the existing sound drum to protect the LED bracket. I have also used Component Engineering modified for this purpose since they do not directly make a conversion for the machines.

I LOVE my vic 4 [Smile] I might invest in a reverse scan kit at some point, though I hardly think running cyan tracks is a big issue for me at the moment. How do you go on with spare parts out there Demetris? I'm specifically thinking of the drive gears...the small drive gear on the end of my motor looks a little worse for wear.

For gears I get a local machine shot to make them
I tested the prototype Kelmar Vic4 reader and was very happy with it

Cinemeccanica does have a Vic 4 Red LED retro kit, with digital basement or not. Not sure about the Vic 10. For other Victoria projectors they use the same kit - with digitial or with-out.
