I tried to fix one of these the other day and I must admit it was the most difficult thing I have ever tried to do.

First off, I could not figure out any way to remove the motor. So I decided to pry off the outer cover for the gears but I couldn't do it without breaking the shaft that moves the final drive gear.

The original problem was that one of the plastic gears inside had two teeth broken off.

So, has anyone ever fixed one of these or should I jsut order a new one?

There is something in my blood that prohibits me from spending $75 on a $1.99 radio shack motor and less than $5 worth of gear.

HI !

I've experienced the same problem with a motor like this on a Millenium projector.

Forget it to fix the gears box ! Better is to order the unit to Your dealer and replace it....

Good luck and appologyses for my weak english !

Bye,
