At one of my locations we have a Christie Xenolite CK30-CC25 Lamphouse with a CC40 power supply. In your opinions what would be the correct xenon size to use? What's bothering me is that we inherited this theatre from UA and they were using a 4000W bulb, and today while working on an automation problem I noticed a tag on the console that said to only use a CXL-30 bulb. Am i underpowering a bulb and what would be the hazards/shortcomings to doing this? My heartfelt thanks in advance. [beer]

Due to the size of the rectifier it was probably modified to handle a 4000 watt bulb in addition to the 3000 watt CXL-30 bulb. I assume since it is a CK unit, the reflector could stand the 4000 watt set-up. That cinema may have been serviced by the late Alysson Defaria who was excellent in doing modifications.
What amperage, type of bulb and screen size are you working?
