I was looking at the Simplex Reel Arm Manual and have some questions. Can the parts from these arms be used to remanufactor/repair older IPC/Simplex 2000-6000 ft magazines? The illustrations in this manual (clutch assembly, bearings and reel arms) look similar to the older magazines.

I can't be sure, but I think the shaft sizes are different between the 5k, 6k mag and the 2k. Seems like the smaller magazine shafts were something like 1/4- 5/16" and the larger was maybe 3/8. I'm referring to the part of the shaft where the bearings fit on the shaft. The reel part of the shafts are all the same. If I am right you might find bearings to fit the larger shafts and be able to fit the casting of the spider of the smaller mag at a bearing shop.
