Author Topic: Close Encounters - 1999 director's cut - Bad printing Per Hauberg Jedi Master Film Handler Posts: 883 From: Malling, Denmark Registered: Jul 2000 posted 07-07-2003 07:16 PM                        Did any of You guys run this latest version of "Close Encounters". A single (fairly new) print is on tour in Denmark this summer, looking - and sounding as stroke from 16mm material. Already the Columbia logo make You throw Yourself back in the seat, when hit by the grain, and dts sounds like pulling a cat by its tail - namely the music of the last scenes do not keep the speed correct. Have we just been plain unlucky, or is this what they show up with all over the world ?
