Mark,

I have had our Big Sky for about a year. One brain wrap which shut down the show when the owner treaded skipping a roller. Definite pilot error. Fail safe shut down the show.

Definite gentle handling of the film. Starts up very gently and without the usual voilent twirl most often connected with the platters which use the takeup power for the payout.

MUT is the vertical type. Chuck for easily changing shaft sizes. There is a brake on both the makeup and tear down. The deck plate is free wheeling during tear down. (Brad never posted his fix for this.) At least the speed of tear down doesn't destroy the motor brushes.

Static and sticky splices have not been any problem since installing this machine. There are 5 people who thread the projection path and only one mishap in a year.

I think you will really like these machines.
