I came across a "Hollywood" motorized rewind that has a good working motor and foot control, but the shaft doesn't turn. It's completely enclosed and I haven't torn into it yet, but wondered if anyone is familiar with the drive system in these and what's likely wrong. Any thoughts appreciated.

Is this a model PR-1A? Is it black or grey?

How do you know the motor is working if the shaft doesn't turn? That sound strange to me. Anyhow, I'd suspect the belt first.

Open it up and take a look, it's pretty straightforward inside.

On, there may also be a (red?) handle on the right-hand side that moves the belt from idle to run...make sure it's on run.

There is a drive belt in there... John beat me to the red knob issues.
