Author Topic: Loop Loss On a B&H 540 Adam Fraser Master Film Handler Posts: 499 From: Houghton Lake, MI, USA Registered: Dec 2001 posted 09-14-2002 09:44 AM                        I have a B&H 540 16mm that is loosing the lower loop below the gate after a few minutes. The test film I'm using doesnt have any torn sprocket holes. Any suggestions? I got three of these machines for free, and have gotten 2 of them working right, when I bought an Elmo 16-CL which is the one I will probably use regularly but I would like to get this one working right also.  |  IP: Logged Paul G. You might need a new shuttle kit. The kits can get very expensive (if you are lucky enough to find one) and they are very difficult to change if you don't have the proper tools. When the shuttles wear out, the machines generally wind up in the trash because they are not worth repairing.
