Author Topic: Question about EDLO Dimmer Sam Hunter Jedi Master Film Handler Posts: 779 From: West Monroe, LA, USA Registered: Jan 2002 posted 08-08-2002 03:53 PM                     I am checking an Edlo Dimmatic lighting control and was curious as to what the 556 timer does. It looks like it uses the RESET line as an line voltage type trigger which in turn pulses the SCR pack through the output with the input pulse width controlled by the input on Dis/Threshold pins of the 556. There is a print in the manuals section on it for reference. Timer circuits have always stumped me but I believe I have this one figured out. Anybody know the theory on these things that could share some with me?
