Author Topic: eprad sword upgrade questions Dave Ganoe Expert Film Handler Posts: 119 From: Point Marion, PA Registered: Jun 99 posted 07-01-2002 01:12 AM                     Does anyone know if you can replace an eprad soundhead on an eprad sword with any other brand of soundhead without much trouble, mounting bracket, ect? I doubt there is a retrofit for the eprad sound head to go to reverse scan. Thanks in advance.  |  IP: Logged Paul G. We had a RCA-1040 bolted to it, which is the same common bolt pattern Simplex, Ballentyne, or Century uses. I have SH-1000 soundheads and Simplex E-7 projector heads. They were put on there in the 70's, well before I bought the theatre, so I don't know if there was any special bracket used or not. USA Registered: Sep 1999 posted 07-03-2002 12:47 AM                     You should be able to put just about any soundhead on the Sword pedestal as it has standard mounting bolt spacing. However the RCA 9030 and 9050 wouldn't work (spacing is wider) unless you had some sort of adapter plate.  |  IP: Logged
