I can obtain one (with a power supply for about 3500 bucks.) Seems as though it is a little overpriced. What is your opinion? Thanks.

Highway robbery! That's not even close to what that thing is really worth.

Try going to Wal-Mart and buying a Maglite for roughly the same light output. Of course the Maglight will output WHITE light instead of yellow/green light, but hey.

Seriously, if you end up buying one of those units, make sure it includes the Phoenix kit to upgrade it to the SLC optics.
