Film Guard works like a charm. Ran my worst test print through many times. Every run thru the deep base scratch gets more transparent. The picture is so clean and clear after a day that it appears as if I have put a new bulb in my lamphouse. Absolutely no residue in Projector head. No residue on lens and I soaked the media. I could not believe my eyes. Fantastic stuff.... I do need to inquire about 70mm plastic cores for the media and the rewinding tool. Are they available yet. Thank you Brad for Film Guard. It has made me and my operators very happy...........

Very glad to hear your tests worked well for your 8:70 machine. As of right now there is no such thing as 70mm rewinder cores and/or Film-Tech 70mm media, but if there is a demand we can do it. For right now I have been recommending people buy the Kelmar 70mm media and get two plastic cores and tape them together with Permacel gaffer's tape (trimming the inboard core the appropriate amount). A normal 35mm core can be used as a rewinder. If you will email me your address I can make up a couple and send to you.

I will email you Brad Thanks.. Just wanted to say for those of you who may have missed earlier thread... Linear loop is run with compressed air so using film guard on this projector was debated as to what it would do to head. Eg: film sticking on linear gate or lubricant on lens from airpressure. None of that happened and my projector is perfectly clean. I believe I am the first one to use film guard on an Iwerks linear loop and I am here to tell the rest of you all that if you don't use this product you are not putting your best presentation on. This stuff is magic....

Jan,

The only thing that worries me is Film-Guard build up on the velvet liner between the linear sprockets. Keep an eye on it!!
