Author Topic: Gotta thank George Lucas Daniel Boisson Expert Film Handler Posts: 157 From: Buffalo, NY, USA Registered: Oct 2001 posted 05-19-2002 10:17 PM                     When I heard that the theatres must have digital sound in order to get star wars, I thought that was kinda stupid...Until we got our new Dolby CP500 unit. It replaced an old dolby analogue(cp 50) system. What a difference. There's no way to guarantee digital sound on all screens of a major release, especially one with a 6,000 print inventory. At least one of the three prints playing at the Central Mall 12 here in Lawton is analog stereo. I've heard stories of how it was originally wired up wrong when they first installed it.
