Author Topic: Strong X-60 and heat filter Brad Miller Administrator Posts: 17775 From: Plano, TX (36.2 miles NW of Rockwall) Registered: May 99 posted 05-18-2002 12:45 PM                     I am asking this for a friend who has a Strong X-60 and a "cold" glass reflector running a 5000 watt lamp at a drive in. He wants to install a heat filter and he has a Christie that was originally made for an SLC console. Is that an acceptable heat filter for that lamphouse? Assuming it is to be angled, approximately what angle? Lauderdale, FL, USA Registered: Jun 2001 posted 05-18-2002 04:34 PM                     Heat filters should be angled away from the reflector and should be "reflecting" the heat to a heat sink or aimed at a heat resistant surface.
