This beauty has two intake fans, one on top of the lamphouse and one on top of the plenum. The one on top of the house isn't mounted on padding and I was wondering if I should remount on some foam padding like in the tips section?

Michael,
I service several of Christie's SLC-45-02 (7K console) with the two blowers that you speak of. I have never had any problems with the external blower causing a vibration. Just clean the blades every few months and oil the blower motor every six months and you should be fine.

Most of the time you won't need it, but I have found some that did. It would be unusual for you to need to do that on a brand new lamphouse.
