One of my theaters has a Simplex PR1014 projector with a SH1012-T2 soundhead. The drive gear assembly has self-destructed (i.e. gear, bearings, shaft, bracket). The only manuals and parts lists that I have list two different "drive kits" one for RCA soundheads and one for Simplex SH1000, SH1020, and SH1050
(part #'s G-2086 and G-2068 in case anyone cares) It appears to be the correct gear/bracket, but I'm not sure. Is the Simplex "drive kit (G-2086)" the correct one for the SH1012-T2? Or is there a different gear for the SH1012-T2?
Thanks
Jonathan

There is only one Simplex gear for the drive assy for all Simplex soundheads. Its best to get it form Strong as they seem to run quieter. I don't believe the RCA gear will even fit in there. For reliablilitys sake, be sure to replace the bearings and shaft while you're at it.

Actually, the RCA gear will indeed fit...but it will whine inceasently! I agree on getting the gear from Strong.
